Network Rules & Contract
These terms bind every shop and designer on WrapBoard. Posting a job or claiming one is acceptance of this agreement. Plain language on purpose — fairness only works when everyone can read the rules.
1. Design pricing minimums
Budgets are designer-facing — this is what the designer earns. Shops charge their own client whatever they choose above it. Jobs cannot be posted below these minimums.
| Service | Minimum design budget |
|---|---|
| Full wrap design | $400.00 |
| 3/4 wrap design | $350.00 |
| 1/2 wrap design | $300.00 |
| 1/4 wrap / spot graphics | $200.00 |
| Trailer / box truck wrap design | $500.00 |
| Fleet template (multi-vehicle) design | $600.00 |
| Logo design | $250.00 |
| Graphic adjustments / file cleanup | $100.00 |
| Window perf design | $100.00 |
| Banner / signage layout | $100.00 |
2. Job posting rules (shops)
- Shops post via a paid membership or pay-as-you-go. Plans: Starter $39.99/mo or $399.99/yr (5 posts/month) · Pro $79.99/mo or $799.99/yr (25 posts/month) · Unlimited $149.99/mo or $1499.99/yr (unlimited posts/month); quotas reset each calendar month. Without a membership — or past a plan's monthly quota — posting is pay-as-you-go: a 15% platform fee on the design budget is charged with the job and refunded with it if the job is cancelled before delivery. Members within quota pay no per-job fee.
- Pay to post. The design budget is charged when the job is posted and held in escrow by WrapBoard. It is released to the designer on production approval, and refunded in full if the shop cancels before delivery. Collect it from your client up front — that's your deposit.
- Fairness review. Every job is reviewed by WrapBoard before it opens to designers — scope and price are checked both ways. Service minimums are floors, not quotes: unusually complex projects (heavy custom illustration, full-vehicle artwork, rush timelines) can require a higher budget for the design time involved. Jobs that don't clear review are refunded in full — budget and any fees — with the reason, so the shop can adjust and repost.
- The brief must be accurate: real vehicle, real deadline, real client contact info so the designer can communicate directly.
- Pre-press & measurements are the shop's responsibility. The shop supplies vehicle measurements and template details in the brief, and performs final pre-press checks — scale, bleed, panel fitment, color — before printing. Designers deliver production-ready files to the specs provided; fitment on the actual vehicle is verified by the shop.
- Budgets meet the service minimums above. The posted budget is a commitment to pay it upon production approval.
- Shops may cancel an unclaimed job anytime. Cancelling after delivery to avoid payment is a contract breach — WrapBoard will review and may force the payout (§4) and remove the shop.
3. Claiming rules (designers)
- Designers are vetted: US-based, real wrap/print production experience. Claiming is disabled until approval and a connected payout account.
- Matched invites. New jobs are offered first to the best-fit designers (specialty history, rating, open capacity) — invited designers have exclusive claim rights for the job's first 1 hour, then it opens to everyone. Deliver well and the steady work finds you.
- Claim limits start at 1 active job and rise +1 with every completed, paid-out job. Admins may adjust limits.
- Claiming a job means committing to the deadline and to direct, professional communication with the shop's client.
- Abandoning claimed work (or the shop releasing it for non-delivery) is recorded and visible to WrapBoard — repeated abandonment ends approval.
- Deliverables must be production-ready files at the specs in the brief. Final pre-press verification and vehicle measurements are the shop's responsibility (§2) — designers are not liable for fitment when working to the specs provided.
4. Payout rules & designer protection
- The design budget is already in escrow from posting. When the shop approves the job for production, a payout opens automatically: the design budget minus WrapBoard's commission.
- Commission by designer tier (base 15%): Rookie 15% (0+ paid jobs) · Pro 12.5% (5+ paid jobs) · Elite 11% (15+ paid jobs) · Master 10% (30+ paid jobs). Never above 15%, never below 10%.
- Designers are paid within 7 days of production approval.
- Ghost clause. If a designer delivers and the shop or its client goes silent — no approval, no revision requests, no communication for 14 days after delivery, through no fault of the designer — WrapBoard force-approves the job and opens the payout. A broken line of communication that isn't the designer's fault never costs the designer their fee.
- Revisions. Each designer sets how many revision rounds are included in their price — it's shown on their profile, and the count is locked into the job when it's claimed. Revisions are handled directly between the designer and the shop's client — in the job's client portal (which the shop can read) or by phone — that customer service is part of what the designer is paid for, and shops are never asked to referee. The designer logs each round on the job (a visible counter plus a note in the thread, so there's always a record), and logging a round restarts the 14-day clock. Rounds beyond the included count, or out-of-scope changes, are a new job (Graphic adjustments, $100.00+).
5. Ownership & intellectual property
- Until the payout releases, the work belongs to the designer. All concepts, drafts, and proofs are the designer's intellectual property while a job is in flight.
- Proofs are previews, not production art. The proof preview is for review and approval only. Reproducing, tracing, cleaning up, screenshotting, or printing from a proof — by the shop or its client — before the payout releases is theft of the designer's work and a contract breach: WrapBoard force-releases the full payout and removes the offender from the network. Print-ready production files are delivered only after approval.
- On payout release, rights transfer. When the escrow releases to the designer, the shop receives full commercial and production rights to the final files for the client's vehicle, fleet, and related brand use — including reprints and repairs.
- Designers keep portfolio rights. Designers may display completed work in their WrapBoard portfolio and personal portfolio. Shops needing confidentiality (unreleased campaigns) must say so in the brief.
- Cancelled or refunded jobs transfer nothing — all concepts and proofs remain the designer's property and may not be used in any form.
- Designers warrant that fonts, stock imagery, and other third-party assets in final files are properly licensed for production, or clearly flag any license the client must purchase.
6. Conduct & non-circumvention
- Ratings are exchanged after each job and feed both parties' standing on the network.
- Relationships formed on WrapBoard stay on WrapBoard for 12 months — taking jobs off-platform to dodge commission is grounds for removal of both parties.
- Harassment, fake briefs, fake portfolios, or misrepresenting production specs end membership without refund.
- WrapBoard may update these rules with notice; continued use is acceptance.
